My Version of the Glassine Technique

It has been a while since I have posted, I have had a bad dose of the flu and sinus and my get up and go got up and went!
I saw a technique from Madeline at Inkspirations 4 U, called glassine. I searched hi and low for my mod podge, but I am thinking it got up and went with my mojo! Not to be deterred, because I really really wanted to try this technique, I used  Crystal Effects instead of Mod Podge. Now using the CE I didnt achieve the 'opaqueness' that Madeline did in her tutorial, but I liked it just the same. Reminded me a bit of a frosted bathrooom window. Wanting to take it just a little further I wondered what the effect would be like if I stamped the image onto the tissue before I added the 2nd coat of CE. It turned out beautifully and when the CE dried I took my Stamp n Writed Markers and coloured the image. It doesnt show up all that well in the photo but it really does look quite effective. I had also put my metal sheets in a very safe place and couldnt fin them for looking, but I unearthed them and they were exatly where they were supposed to be. I just couldnt see them for looking! Because I wanted a blokey sort of card I embossed the metal sheet using the square lattice folder and loved the effect. The cardstock used was River Rock, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla and finished it off with some black brads and Night of Navy 1/4" grosgrain. Oh well back to search for the Mod Podge. I know it will be staring me in the face, but in the meantime I have taken the technique another step forward to do something else and will post that a bit later. Hope you like it and I would love to know what you think. Bye for now..........
