I Love Punch Art!

Hi again. I have been preparing for my October class, after some of the ladies requested a Punch Art Class. Not everyone has an unlimited stamp supply, but likes to make something a little different.

For this class I have used the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and punches, lots and lots of punches. It is also a fabulous way to use up your scrap.............you know the bits of cardstock that you are sure will come in handy one day. Well everyone I am here to tell you, this is the way to go!
The cards that we will be making are all 3 x 3, but they can all be converted to a standard size card with the clever use of matting. In all the ladies will be making 24 cards, and they will have a card for any occassion at their fingertips!
If you feel this is the class that you have been waiting for......then wait no longer. Numbers will be stricltly limited. So come along and enjoy a lovely morning with you friends as you recreate these beautiful cards and many more.
This class will be held on Friday the 15th October at 10am. Please contact me for more details and to book your place. Phone 0409874291

Brisbane Regionals

Yesterday, I attended the Regionals in Brisbane, and oh what a day! I learnt so much, and had so much fun at the same time! We did some make and takes and were taught some techniques by Stampin' Up!'s finest. I travelled down with Kris and with her newest downline Jenny. We didnt get lost, and that was not due to my knowledge of the inner city but to the excellent navigational skill of Kris and Jenny! It was lovely to see other demonstrators that I knew and to be able to catch up with them.  The card to the left is a sample of what I made as swaps for Regionals, along with some others that I will swhare with you. I also made some of my Twisted end Boxes, from a tutorial I produced some months ago. Imagine my surprise, when looking at some stamping sites to see that SU has bought out a die for the Big Shot called the Lolly Wrapper just recently. If you are interested in obtaining the Tutorial for that give me a call or send an email and I will send it off to yoi. They are so cute and would be good for all sorts of goodies no matter what time of the year! The ones that I made for Regioanls I did in a Christmas theme and they just look like Christmas Bon Bons!

New Catalogue is out tomorrow!!

The end of August! That means tomorrow we will be able to show off our brand new 2010-2011 Ideas Book and Catalogue! This is so exciting! I cant believe that the time has finaly come, after so much hype and wondering what if any of our US counterparts' catalogue will be carried over to us in Australia. We are always behind our US friends, but in ways that is understandable, as they celebrate occassions that we dont and vice versa. The new style punch is absolutely fabulous as they close flat, and they are not at all as bulky as the old style. At this point 99% of my punches are the old style and they have served me so well and I am sure that they will continue to do so for quite some time to come!
Stampin' Up have had a colour renovation as well this catalogue. They have kept most of the current colours, bought in a new in colour selection an even bought back some old favourites! The colour families have had a slight renovation as well, and I think that they will all work really well the way they have been put together.
Our stamp sets have also had a renovation. Now you have the choice of wood mounted or clear mounted stamps. The clear mounted stamps do of course take up much less space as they come in a DVD type container compared to the wood mount stamps and their packaging. So now it is a matter of personal choice as to how you prefer your stamps to be mounted. Some sets have not been converted to clear mount, and of course some wont be because of their size e.g. background stamps etc. No matter what style of mount you prefer you can be assured that the rubber and the foam are still the very same high quality as we have always enjoyed.
For a very brief time of the year on the Sunshine Coast we get to enjoy daffodils. Their subtle perfume, delicate petals, and gentle but at the same time vibrant colour brings warmth and happiness to all who see them. One of Stampin' Up!s new In Colours for this year is daffodil delight, and yes you can imagine daffodils in this beautiful cardstock.
We will also have some more Big Shot Dies and embossing folders and they are beautiful. Lets be honest here, can you get enough of these beauties? I cant. I also can not believe how I managed before I purchased my Big Shot, or my Circle Scissors Plus, or........................so many things!
The first workshop for the new catalogue will be held at Lyn's house on Saturday and she is so excited, to be able to actually get her hands on some of the new goodies! We are going to be using the new stamp set Friends Never Fade, and that will be teamed with Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Very Vanilla and of course you can never forget a good dose of Dazzling Diamonds. I dont think I have met anyone who doesnt just love the Bling!
Thats is it for today and hopefully I will be back tomorrow, just because I can!. Keep your eye out here for classes, tutorials, special invites and more. Happy Stampin'
