Sunny Challenges Week 36

Hi there stampers! Here we are with another challenge for Sunny Challenges and Creations. I am back and this week it was my turn to supply the sketch. Being my first week back after a lengthy absence I thought I would make it nice and easy for you. Just follow the sketch! You are free to do whatever you wish with it. I apologise for the quality of the sketch pic but when the photo was taken I was having all sorts of trouble with my camera, and being very unco when it comes to technical stuff I did the best I could at the time. I love Poppy Parade and I really hope it is not one of the colours to go this year, I matted the Whisper White Card stock onto Basic Black after I had run the two smaller pieces through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The stamp set I used was Field Flowers, and The Frame was from the Designer Frames embossing set, I cut around the frame after embossing it and put it up on dimensionals  to make it pop. The little heart was punched from the Owl punch. This card looks beautiful in so many colours and  I know you will have a lot of fun doing this sketch. Please come and play with us this week, its a lot of fun and you could be our next Ray of Sunshine!!

Single Twisted Easel Card

Today's share is a single twisted easel, bit of a let down after the last couple of days isnt it? I still had fun making this card and the colours I used were Pacific Point, Poppy Parade and Whisper White. I ran the Square Lattice embossing folder through the Big Shot and stamped the ship in Early Espresso and coloured it quickly using my Aqua Painters and Poppy Parade. The Water I touched in a couple of places with Marina Mist and just a touch or two of Old Olive to add interest. I matted this onto Pacific Point and then onto the Poppy Parade using dimensionals. The Newsprint DSP added a bit of interest to the base of the card and the Birthday wishes was Stamped using the Early Espresso once again and punched out using the Oval Scallop Punch. I then ran the Oval Scallop from the Punch Windows Die Set in Pacific Point and mounted these on dimensionals. This is just a really quick card but looks so effective and is a great masculine 'all purpose' card. I hope you like it..............Bye for now

More Samples for the Regionals!

I really love the Friends Never Fade set of stamps. There is so much that can be done with it. In these samples I have used, in each case the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, to emboss the coloured cardstock, the backgrounds were either stamped using another of the flowers from the set or in the case of the card on the left rolled with the beautiful Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel. The leaves were punched using the XL 2 Step Bird Punch, and the Scallop Trim Border Punch as opposed to the plain Scallop Border Punch just to add a more decorative touch to the card. The flowers were then finished off with just a touch of Dazzling Diamonds to the centres. I have used the new In Colours for these creations. Concord Crush, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz for the foliage. These colours are refreshing, and as you can see by the generational stamping on the card base there is a great range of colour gradients that are able to be achieved with them. In my next post Iwill share with you what I call my Twisted End Box, that I also handed out as samples at Regionals.
