Comfort Folder

Last Friday at the class held in my home, the ladies revisited the spotlighting technique, and we also made what I call a Comfort Folder. It was very quick and very simple to make and there is a pocket on the inside of the folder to hold a tea, coffee, chocolate or even an Iced Tea Sachet. How lovely it would be to receive one of these in the mail, with a nice newsy letter tucked in its little pocket on one side and a sachet of the recipients favourite drink in the other! The ladies who attended the class this week are who I call my 'blue ladies', they love anything blue! We used Pacific Point Cardstock which was rolled with the So Swirly Jumbo Wheel using the ink of the same colour, thenone edge was punched using the scallop Border Punch and then all outside edges were sponged using Pacific Point Ink. A piece of the beautiful Blueberry Crisp DP was added and then a band of Crumb Cake was placed along the bottom portion of the folder. The small edge of the Crumb Cake was also punched on only one end. The ladies then used the Big Shot and the Lots of Tags Sizzlet Die and cut a tag from Baja Breeze Cardstock. The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla using Chocolate Chip ink. We also made an insert for the folder in case they only wanted to put a small note in it, and it was made from Very Vanilla, with the corners rounded off and the So Swirly Jumbo Wheel rolled along the bottom of the insert after been 'off stamped' first. A tab was made using the XL Round Tab Punch to be placed at the top of the insert. The ladies had a lot of fun making this folder and I hope you like what I have done, I would love to hear, Bye for now, Gwen
